Teenager injured in blast near Imam Bargah, terrorism attempt foiled in Gujranwala

A teenager was injured in a blast near an Imam Bargah in Kamoonki area between Lahore and Gujranwala in Punjab province on Thursday. Takfiri terrorists threw a cracker that hit a teenager. He was rushed to hospital for treatment. No major loss was reported. A car carrying arms and ammunition was intercepted near a Muharram procession in Gujranwala on Thursday. Security officials are on high alert across the country since the beginning of the holy month. However, several bomb blasts very close to imambargahs have posed a challenge to the security forces. The country witnessed three bomb blasts near imambargahs on November 21, which killed more than 25 people. Taliban have claimed responsibility for the attacks.
