Shiite News: Maulvi Abdul Qayyum, who made a baseless allegations, has made an attempt to defame a legitimate Islamic act like Mut’ah in his speech.

He has not only distorted Islamic teachings and the Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH), but has also tried to mislead people with his baseless statements against the clear teachings of the Holy Quran.

This act of Maulvi Abdul Qayyum is actually tantamount to insulting the Prophet SAW and making fun of Islamic principles, through which he is only trying to spread prejudice, hatred and chaos.

It is a fact that every society or every individual should adopt every lawful act, it is not necessary. There are many lawful acts that are not adopted in different societies due to different circumstances, but this does not mean that those acts are wrong or unlawful.

The words of Maulvi Abdul Qayyum are nothing but hatred, prejudice and misguidance. Its only purpose is to create chaos and division in the Islamic Ummah.

The first contradiction: Denial of women’s rights

Maulvi Abdul Qayyum claimed that women are not given any right to dowry in mut’ah. This is a complete lie and a proof of ignorance of Islamic teachings. Mut’ah is mentioned in verse 24 of Surah An-Nisa of the Holy Quran:

“So give those women to whom you do a mut’ah, their dowry.”

This verse clearly states that the right to dower in Mutah is a Sharia right of the woman, and it is obligatory to pay it.

Maulvi Abdul Qayyum’s claim that a woman does not get the right to dower is a clear contradiction of the Quran and is against Islamic teachings.

Second contradiction: Calling the Sunnah of the Messenger of God (PBUH) an act of the period of ignorance

Maulvi Abdul Qayyum called Mutah an act of the period of ignorance, while the history of Islam is full of all the traditions that this order was from the Messenger of God (SAW) and was made permissible by the order of divine revelation.
Muslims believe that the Messenger of God (SAW) never said anything without revelation. Calling it an act of the period of ignorance is an insult to the Messenger of God (SAW), because this practice began during the time of the Messenger of God and not before in the period of ignorance.

Third contradiction: Insulting the Companions

Maulvi Abdul Qayyum, having hatred for the Ahlul Bayt (a.s.), has said things regarding Mutah that he himself believes are also applicable to his own companions.

Because it is recorded in history that the Abu Bakr’s daughter Asma bint Umays had a Muta’ with Zubair bin Awam, and they had Abdullah bin Zubair.

These statements by the Maulvi are actually an insult to the companions whom he sometimes respects more than the Ahl al-Bayt.

Fourth contradiction: Viewing a country from a sectarian perspective

Since Iran has a large population of Shiites, this Maulvi has no other way to vent his anger. He made baseless allegations regarding Iran that millions of children there do not know their parents.

Viewing a country or society from a sectarian perspective is nothing but hatred. There is a respect in the hearts of Muslims around the world regarding Iran because it always defends the oppressed. This hypocritical Maulvi resorted to false allegations to vent his anger. This accusation is based on complete lies and prejudice.

The Shariah Status of Mut’ah and Historical Facts

Mut’ah was permitted by the Messenger of Allah (SAW) by the command of Allah, and there are references to its permissibility in the authentic books of the Sunnis.

The Companions also practiced it, and its status was always recognized as a Shariah practice. It is stated in the authentic books of the Sunnis that it existed until the time of the Messenger of Allah (SAW) and Hazrat Abu Bakr, but later Hazrat Umar declared it forbidden.

It is completely wrong to say that not performing an act at any time nullifies the Shariah status of that act. Not performing an act does not nullify its Shariah status, nor can it be considered equal to adultery.

Conclusion

In his speech, Maulvi Abdul Qayyum is trying to insult the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (SAW), undermine the honor of the Companions, and distort Islamic teachings.

His statements are based on lies, prejudice, and hatred. The aim of such people is to spread discord among the Muslim Ummah and harm Islamic unity.

Muslims should be wary of the misleading statements of such individuals and should understand and spread Islamic teachings correctly.
