Minister meets Iranian Ambassador, agree to promote economic, trade, cultural relations

Shiite News: According to a report by Mehr News Agency, Pakistani Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Chaudhry Salik Hussain met with Iranian Ambassador Dr. Amiri Muqaddam.

During the meeting, various proposals were discussed regarding the growing trend of religious intolerance in the world, the elimination of terrorism, sectarianism, establishment of peace and promotion of interfaith harmony.

Pakistani Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain said that in the challenges and situations that Muslim countries are going through today, there is a need to promote religious harmony, tolerance and unity.

There is an urgent need for dialogue between religions and civilizations to establish peace in the world. Tolerance and respect are integral parts of Islamic teachings.

Pakistan and Iran should work together to promote religious harmony, peace and tolerance in the world through interfaith and intercultural dialogue.

In the meeting, it was agreed to further promote economic, trade and cultural relations with Pakistan and Iran.

Iranian Ambassador Dr. Amiri Muqqadam, while inviting Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain to participate in the International Quran Conference to be held in Iran next month, said that Pakistan and Iran are facing the threat of terrorism, which requires the development of a joint action plan.

In the meeting, it was agreed to increase cooperation between Pakistan and Iran to eliminate extremism and radicalism and promote interfaith harmony.
