Dar talks with Iranian Counterpart on pilgrims issues

Shiite News: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar met with his Iranian counterpart Syed Abbas Araqchi in Mashhad.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 28th meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the member countries of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), which is being held in Mashhad under the hosting of Iran.

Ishaq Dar and Syed Abbas Araqchi discussed the latest regional situation, important global issues and matters of mutual interest.

The Pak-Iranian Foreign Ministers agreed to make bilateral cooperation more sustainable in all fields.

Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Muqaddam and Pakistani Ambassador to Iran Muhammad Mudassar Tipu were also present.

During this time, discussions were also held on resolving the problems of Pakistani pilgrims, facilitating visas and improving border relations.

The Iranian Foreign Minister assured that all the problems of Pakistani pilgrims would be resolved as soon as possible and visas would be provided in the shortest possible time.

Ishaq Dar expressed Pakistan’s concerns over the increase in insecurity in the Middle East.
