Kazim Maisam, Allama Syed Ali Rizvi inaugurate Yolatar Highway project in Skardu

Shiite News: Opposition Leader GB Assembly and Leader of Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen Kazim Maisam and Provincial President MWM Allama Syed Ali Rizvi inaugurated the important highway project in Skardu.

MWM Provincial President Syed Ali Rizvi, Opposition Leader Kazim Maisam, Public Works Department Officer Yawar Abbas and other dignitaries cut the ribbon and formally inaugurated the project.

A large number of people were present on the occasion. The Yolatar Highway was built twenty-five years ago during the rule of former Member of Assembly Syed Abbas Rizvi, and since then no one has bothered to lay a single brick on this important highway. Due to the non-metalling of the road, major difficulties were being faced.

The elected representative of the area, Leader of the Opposition in the Provincial Assembly, Muhammad Kazim Maisam, took up the task of metalling the road and allocated Rs. 155 million for the project.

While the metalling of the Yolatar Highway will benefit the people of Yolatar, it will also be an alternative highway for Skardu city.

In case the Baltistan Highway is closed for any reason, people will be able to use the Yolatar Highway to go to Skardu city. Opposition Leader Kazim Maisam said that the metalling of the Yolatar Highway will greatly enhance the beauty of Skardu city. New avenues of construction and development will open in the area.
