Upper House passes a bill for 3 years of imprisonment for preaching Zionism
Shiite News: The Senate Standing Committee on Interior has approved the bill to punish the propagation of Zionism and the display of its symbols.
Muslim League (N) Senator Afnanullah presented the Criminal Law Amendment Bill in the Senate Standing Committee on Interior, which was not opposed by the Ministry of Interior and the committee approved the bill.
Deliberately preaching Zionism and creating hatred in society will be punished with 3 years imprisonment and a fine of 40,000 rupees, while deliberately displaying Zionist signs and creating hatred and unrest will be punished with 2 years imprisonment and a 30,000 rupees fine.
Propaganda of Zionism and display of insignia shall not warrant arrest and shall be a bailable offence.
The aims and objectives of the bill states that Zionism began as an ethnic and religious movement that later evolved into a political movement aimed at gathering Jews and giving them a homeland in Israel.
According to the aims and objectives of the bill, Zionists adopt extremist methods and means to achieve their goals, while Pakistan has always shown religious harmony and tolerance for different religions and beliefs.
Being a Muslim state, the preaching of Zionism or the display of symbols cannot be tolerated here.
On this occasion, Senator Afnanullah said that there are people of Zionist ideology in Pakistan as well.
Propagation of Zionism and its symbols should be banned in Pakistan.
