Shiite News: Anjuman Hussainiya Parachinar has started a march against the closure of the main highway for the past 22 days in Parachinar, the main city of Upper Kurram tribal district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan.
This march was announced last day in a meeting of local leaders of the representative organization of Millat Shia in Parachinar.
According to the organizers, the march will continue until a permanent solution to the problem is found.
Security has been increased in the area in view of fear of violence during March.
According to Deputy Commissioner Javedullah Mehsud of Kurram district, the Jirga is going on the issue of March and Kurram and ‘we will try to find some solution to it.’
He said, “Whatever is possible, we will do it so that no one’s security is compromised.”
Jalal Hussain Bangash, general secretary of the organization, said in his speech during the announcement of the march yesterday, “Until the last day, we were working with reconciliation, but now we will come from a different way of thinking and find a solution to this problem.”
“We helped more than 1,200 overseas residents of Parachinar to come back,” he said, due to the closure of Tal Parachinar Road. We have begged various offices to bring back these persons but can no longer do so.
Jalal Hussain Bangash said, ‘Today (Thursday) people will have to leave on the way people from other areas can participate in the march. ‘
