MWM leader joins PTI protest on Minar Pakistan

Shiite News: Protests were held in different areas of Lahore on the call of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf.

The police tried to disperse the protesters by baton charging and shelling, the clash between PTI workers and the police continued throughout the day.

A number of activists including lawyers were also arrested from Lahore, while the opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly, Ahmed Khan Bhachar, was detained by the police from the railway station.

Similarly, the workers and leaders of Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen were also part of the protest.

Despite the closure of the roads, MWM Vice Chairman Allama Ahmad Iqbal Rizvi along with workers reached Minar Pakistan.

Allama Ahmad Iqbal Rizvi said that they are continuing to protest till late night at Minar Pakistan against the growing fascism, oppression, injustice and illegal so-called constitutional amendment in the country.

He said that despite heavy shelling by the police and hundreds of arrests, public spirit cannot be defeated.

He said that the workers of MWM are with Imran Khan, and God willing, the thieves of Form 47 will be sent home. He said that the protest will continue till the release of Imran Khan.
