Shiite organizations demand immediate ceasefire in Parachinar

Shiite News: Various Shiite organizations held a joint press conference in Peshawar demanding an immediate ceasefire and a high-level investigation into the incidents in Kurram district.

On this occasion, the leaders said that terming the ongoing conflict between two villages in Kurram district for the last 5 days and spreading the fight to the entire district as a religious conflict is regrettable, the silence of the state institutions in condemnable.

Addressing the press conference, Allama Abid Hussain Shakiri (Member of Muttahida Ulema Board KP), Shabir Hussain Sajdi (Provincial Leader of MWM), Hayat Roghani (Leader of ANP), Agha Maulana Hussain (Former President Tehreek Hussaini Parachinar), Hasan Raza Divisional President ISO Peshawar Division, Atif Rasheed (Leader MSM) while addressing a press conference at Peshawar Press Club regarding the recent situation in Kurram District said that the peaceful environment of Kurram District was destroyed under a systematic conspiracy.

He said that the people of the area have demanded action against the terrorists while expressing regret over the silence of the district administration and other state institutions.

The leaders said that when a decision was made between two villages, what power was there that refused to accept the decision?

The responsible leaders in the Aman Jirga immediately reached there and urged the same village to maintain peace and order.

He further said that if we look at the incompetence of our state institutions, especially the provincial government.
He strongly condemned the controversial and communal statement issued by the incompetent provincial law minister of the KP government, which further strengthened sectarianism.

He said that whenever the situation in Kurram district is worsen, Tal-Parachinar road was blocked for traffic, it is completely unfair, the security of Til Parachinar road is the responsibility of the government agencies.

We strongly demand the state institutions and the district administration of Kurram to take immediate, concrete and effective steps for a ceasefire and conduct a high-level impartial investigation into the incident so that those involved are punished.

In the press conference, leaders, responsible persons and youths from all over Kurram district played their role in raising voice for the peace and order of Kurram district.
