Takfiri Molvi flared up on a Naat in honor of Imam Ali (AS)

Shia News: The annual Eid Milad-ul-Nabi celebration was organized on 12th Rabi’ul-Awwal in Ahmedpur Sial, Jhang, where people from both Shia and Sunni schools of thought participated.

Naat reciters presented Naats in honor of the Companions and Ahle Bayt (AS), as has always been done in this gathering.

However, tension arose in the gathering when a naat reciter recited a naat in honor of Hazrat Ali. While listening to the naat, a cleric on the stage could not bear the naat and ridiculed the guest reciter and said, “Is this an Imambargah who is pleasing the Shias?

Participants expressed displeasure after the incident, as the celebration of Milad-ul-Nabi ﷺ is meant to promote communal harmony.

People from both Shia and Sunni schools of thought condemned the Maulvi’s behavior, saying that reciting Naat in honor of Hazrat Ali is an expression of respect and love for the religion of Islam.

The incident went against the spiritual aims of Jashan Milad, and the participants demanded that such behavior be discouraged in order to maintain communal harmony.
