Report reveals terror activities of outlawed Sipah Sahaba and Lashkar Jhangvi

Shiite News: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has released a report in which the number of martyrs and injured in the attacks of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, Sipah Sahaba and other banned organizations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) in 2023 has been reported.

As many as 337 officials and civilians have been martyred due to attacks by banned organizations, while 616 have been injured.

The highest number of martyrdoms took place in Peshawar, in which 103 police personnel were martyred and 154 were injured, while 103 civilians were martyred.

In Dera Ismail Khan, 63 security forces including 49 Frontier Corps personnel were martyred and 124 injured.

The report also mentions targeted attacks on politicians, Shia target killings, attacks on Imambargahs and mosques. As a result, 4 people were martyred in Bajaur and North Waziristan.

Shia killings were also prominently mentioned in Parachinar. In all, KP experienced over 650 terror attacks this year. Bannu and North Waziristan reported 58 and 50 deaths respectively.

Additional martyrdoms were reported in various districts, adding to the significant increase in violence in the region.
