Terror plan failed, 9 arrested

Shiite News: CTD Punjab conducted intelligence-based operations in various districts of the province to effectively deal with any untoward incident of terrorism.

In which 69 suspects were interrogated and 9 terrorists were arrested along with arms, explosives and other prohibited materials.

The arrested terrorists include Abdul Karim, Muhammad Usman, Imran Siddiqui, Muhammad Thanvi, Mustjab Hussain Shah, Shaukatullah, Ahmed Khan, Shiraz Mehmood and Saeedur Rehman.

The terrorists belong to banned organizations Sipah Sahaba Pakistan, Lashkar Jhangvi and ISIS.

These terrorists were arrested during intelligence-based operations in Rahim Yar Khan, Okara, Bahawalpur, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Mianwali.

Explosives 4895 grams, hand grenades 02, IED bombs 02, detonators 26 safety fuse wire 73 feet, 30 bore pistols 04 guns 19 bullets, pamphlets of banned organization 17, magazines 7, books 15, pamphlets 121, stickers 156, 04 receipt books, 02 mobile phones and cash of Rs.99960 were recovered.

The terrorists had planned sabotage across the province and wanted to target important installations and other religious places.

The police have registered 9 cases against the arrested alleged terrorists and transferred them to an unknown location.
