Shiite News: A very controversial statement has come out from the Khateeb of Lal Masjid, Maulana Abdul Aziz, which has caused a wave of anger among the people.
In response to a question, Maulana Abdul Aziz said that after performing the Istikhara, in his opinion, cautiously at least Yazid can be addressed as “Hazrat Yazid may Allah have mercy on him”.

This statement is not only against historical facts but also against Islamic teachings. Addressing Yazid, who martyred Imam Hussain (a.s.) and his companions in the Karbala incident, with the words “Hazrat” and “Rahmatullah alaihi” hurts the sentiments of Muslims.

This opinion of Maulana Abdul Aziz shows his malice and attempt to create sympathy for Yazid, which is unacceptable.

Yazid’s role has been very negative and controversial in Islamic history, and to support or sympathize with him is tantamount to insulting the martyrs of Karbala. This statement of Maulana Abdul Aziz has made it clear that he is not only ignorant of history, but also has a soft spot in his heart for Yazid, which has created outrage among the people.
