Non-bailable arrest warrant issued for Musharraf in rebel cleric killing case

District and Session Judge Kamran Busharat Mufti on Friday issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against former military ruler Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf in the case pertaining to the murder of Notorious Lal Masjid rebel cleric Ghazi Abdul Rasheed. Ghazi Abdul Rasheed challenged the writ of Pakistan in country’s capital Islamabad by taking the weapon and established his own army in Pakistan’s capital but the recent decision of the court exposed the pro-militant mindset of Pakistani judiciary.

The pro-militant court also rejected a plea requesting complete exemption for Musharraf from appearing in the court.

Police has been ordered to arrest the former president and present him in court for the next hearing of the case which was adjourned until July 24.

The judge also directed Musharraf’s guarantors to ensure his presence in court in the next hearing.

He warned of action against the guarantors and confiscation of the bail money submitted, in case the former military ruler does not appear in court.

Earlier in April, a local court in Islamabad had also issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Musharraf over his failure to appear in the court despite repeated summons.

Its pertaining to mention here that the radical Lal Masjid is a state propert but Saudi funded Radical Mullahs occupied this mosque for promotion of terrorism, extremism and religious hatred under the noise of Pakistan’s state Institutions in Islamabad. This Mosque produced hundreds of terrorists and suicide bombers in the country and the prayer leader of this radical mosque announced his allegiance with Notorious Islamic State Openly but state organs had failed to arrest this terrorist Mullah or sealed the mosque which still performing anti-state activities.
