Strict security measures in Muharram

Double riding of motorcycles has been banned on 9th and 10th of Muharram in Karachi, the industrial city of Pakistan.
The Sindh Home Department has issued a notification regarding the ban on taking out processions and rallies without permission during Muharram in Karachi.
According to the notification of the Sindh Home Department, a ban has been imposed on taking out processions and rallies without permission.
The ban will be applicable from 1st Muharram to 10th Muharram, while on 9th and 10th Muharram there will also be a ban on double riding of motorcycles.
The notification further states that display of weapons and flying of drones will also be banned during Muharram.
Two days ago, Section 144 was also imposed in Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, for a month ahead of Muharram.
The order issued by the Deputy Commissioner Peshawar said that during the enforcement of Section 144, there will be a ban on blackened windows of vehicles and shops, air firing and display of weapons in the city.
It should be noted that several terrorist incidents took place on the occasion of the month of Muharram in the past, in which thousands of mourners were martyred and injured.
The responsibility of these terrorist attacks was accepted by terrorist Takfiri groups.
