A 14-year-old boy killed a Shia mourner over a communal dispute in Chak Chohdu village under Kunjah police limits.
According to a media report, Rehan, the son of the imam of a village mosque, had a bitter argument with Syed Nazir Hussain Shah, a resident of the same village, on the subject of Ghadeer.
The frenzied son of a Takfiri imam stabbed a middle-aged man in succession and fled the scene.
The elderly mourner was shifted to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Kanjah in critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries.
The doctors handed over the body to the family members after conducting the post-mortem.
A team of Punjab Forensic Science Agency has also collected evidence from the incident.
On the complaint of Shabbir Hussain Shah, brother of the deceased, a case has been registered against three accused Rehan, his uncle and father under Sections 302, 34 and 109 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
