People of Parachinar want peace, not the budget, says Hameed Hussain

Parliamentary leader of Majlis Wahdat Muslim Pakistan Engineer Hameed Hussain while addressing the National Assembly session said that the situation of Parachinar has become so serious that even if someone goes out to buy utility items, there is no guarantee of his well-being. People here want protection of life and property instead of budget.
Our people are being martyred in the ongoing proxy war for the last forty five years. Once again the Taliban has been launched in Parachinar.
Wherever there are resources, there are problems. As the defense budget increases, there is an extraordinary increase in terrorist activities in Kuram Agency.
Till date, it is not understood whether this budget is used to defend the people or to target the people.
Last week, a historic peace march was held from Lower Kurram to Upper Kurram in which Shia-Sunni brothers participated and proved that there is no sectarianism in this area.
But this thing is not being digested by some powers. Following the plan of arrogant powers, divide and rule, sometimes the men of one side were killed and sometimes of the other side in order to maintain the tension. The administration is playing the role of a spectator in all this matter.
Any plan to end the relief given to the people here for ten years through constitutional amendments in five years is tantamount to rubbing salt in the wounds of the residents of the region.
