Iranian President’s visit to Pakistan: Local holiday announced in Lahore and Karachi

Shiite News: Provincial governments have announced public holiday on the occasion of the Iranian President’s visit, in Lahore. The provincial government issued a holiday notification on Tuesday, April 22.

According to the notification, the holiday will apply only to Lahore district, while there will be no holiday in the departments attached to the Punjab Civil Secretariat.

Notice being issued by Section Officer Safdar Shabbir with the approval of Chief Secretary Punjab. It should be noted that yesterday the Commissioner Karachi also announced a public holiday on Tuesday on the occasion of the arrival of the Iranian delegation.

According to the notification of Karachi Commissioner Syed Hassan Naqvi, there will be a public holiday on the arrival of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi in Karachi on April 23.

All private and government institutions as well as educational institutions will remain closed on this day.

It should be noted that Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi has arrived in Pakistan today on a 3-day official visit.

The Iranian First Lady, Foreign Minister, Cabinet members, senior officials and a large business delegation are also with them.

Federal Minister Riaz Hussain Pirzada welcomed them at Noor Khan Air Base. According to Pakistani culture, children presented bouquets to the Iranian President.

Later, Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi met Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s House during which the two leaders expressed good wishes for each other.

Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for the warm welcome upon his arrival in Pakistan.

On this occasion, Shahbaz Sharif said that after the general elections, you are the first head of state who is visiting Pakistan, the whole nation welcomes your visit.
