Frontier Corps (FC) personnel claimed on Tuesday to have arrested four terrorists involved in the Sunday night attack on the convoy of President Mamnoon Hussain’s son in Balochistan’s industrial city of Hub but not arrested their strategic assets of banned terrorist outfits involved in the killing of Shia Hazara Muslims in Quetta on Monday.

Abdul Wasay, spokesman of Frontier Corps, said that security forces and other agencies conducted a raid in Ramzan Goth area of Hub town and picked up four suspects.

He said the arrested men were involved in attacks near Hub. “There is evidence of their involvement in the attack on the convoy of President Mamnoon Hussain’s son,” Wasey said, adding that the arrested men are being interrogated by security personnel.

The FC spokesperson claimed that all the arrested suspects are affiliated with a banned militant outfit.
Salman Mamnoon, a son of President Mamnoon Hussain, escaped a bomb attack on his convoy in Hub on Sunday evening. Three people were killed in the blast and 15 injured.

In a separate raid, intelligence agencies’ personnel conducted a raid on Sariab road area of Quetta and arrested a militant. Security sources said the militant belongs to a banned militant outfit.

But its regrettable that not a single terrorist detained by the Frontier Corps and Balochistan Police involved in the targeted killing of Shia Hazara’s in Quetta on Monday. The Saudi-Indian funded banned outfit AhleSunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) terrorists openly killed three Shia Hazara’s in Quetta on Monday in two separate incidents but the law enforcement agencies had not conducted a single raid to detain them. However, IG Balochistan Police threatened the MWM’s MPA in Balochistan Assembly Agha Raza over his sit-in protest against the Government failure to protect Shia Muslims in Quetta and warned him about the grave consequences over the protest held on Monday outside IG Office Quetta.
