Hassan Raza Shamsi laid to rest in Multan

Namaz-e-janaza of Hassan Raza Shamsi was held at Darbar Sakhi Sultan Ali Akbar, Shia Miani, Multan, on Thursday.
Hujjat ul Islam Maulana Taqi Shah Naqvi led the namaz-e-janaza. Thousands of people attended the funeral. They were raising slogans of Labbaik Ya Hussain (AS).

Hassan Raza Shamsi was president of Sipah-e-Muhammad Pakistan. He was wrongly convicted for killings of takfiri terrorists in Multan.

The court had wrongly convicted Hassan Raza Shamsi in Masjid ul Khair case 15 years ago. First, he was awarded death sentence that was later reduced to life imprisonment.

He spent 15 years behind the bars and was to be released after some months. But, he died of cardiac arrest on Monday night. The deceased belonged to Sooraj Miani Multan.
