Four martyr Shia Muslims laid to rest in Karachi

Four Shia martyrs including a father and his two sons were laid to rest at local graveyards on Wednesday.

Thousands of people thronged Mehfil-e-Shah-e-Khorasan to offer namaz-e-janaza of Mohammad Raza and his sons Mohammad Abbas Raza and Kumail Raza. They were martyred in a targeted attack on their car in Paan Mandi area district south Karachi on Tuesday night.

Hujjat ul Islam Maulana Shabbir Meesmi led the namaz-e-janaza after Zohrain prayers. Eminent Shia leaders such as Maulana Asghar Shaheedi and Maulana Sadiq Raza Taqvi also attended the funeral.

The coffins were taken to Hussaini Bagh 2 graveyard in a huge procession. The mourners were raising slogans of Labbaik Ya Hussain (AS) and “We are not scared of martyrdom.”

The namaz-e-janaza of martyr Zaheer Abbas was held at Masjid Khair ul Amal in Federal B Area Block 20. He was laid to rest in Wadi-e-Hussain (AS) graveyard.
