Gilgit-Baltistan welcome MWM Chief Alama Raja Nasir Abbas

Thousands of people from Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) on Wednesday warmly welcomed Alama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, secretary general of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen on Skardu airport.

The MWM chief is on one-month visit to GB where he will  look after the party affairs related to upcoming local body elections scheduled to be held on June 8, 2015. The MWM chief has already declared the premier’s development package announcement as pre poll rigging in GB.

MWM leaders of GB have said that this welcome is the prior public electoral decision which goes in favour Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen. The visit of Alama Jafari is being considered very important for his party as the Majlis has already announced the final list of names of MWM candidates for 12 constituencies contesting in the upcoming Local Body elections (LB) in Gilgit-Baltistan.

According to the announcement, Muhammad Ilyas Siddiqui will contest from constituency Gilgit, Dr. Muhammad Ali from constituency-4, Hunza Nagar-1; Dr. Haji Rizwan Ali from constituency-5, Hunza Nagar-2; Sheikh Mosa Karimi from constituency-6, Hunza Nagar-3; Sheikh Zahid Hussain Zahidy from constituency-7, Skardu1; Imtiaz Haider Khan from constituency-8, Skardu2; Wazir Saleem from constituency-9, Skardu3; Raja Nasir Ali Khan from constituency-10, Skardu4; Dr. Shujat Hussain Meesam from constituency-11, Skardu5; Fida Ali from constituency-12, Skardu6; Muhammad Akber Tasneem from constituency-13, Astoor1 and Abdullah Khan from constituency-14, Astoor2.
