Police killed three Taliban terrorists in Karachi
KARACHI – Three suspected Taliban terrorists were gunned down in a shootout with police in Ittehad Town on Sunday night. Two policemen also suffered injuries.
SP Baldia Ijaz Hashmi said Ittehad Town police were patrolling near D-11 bus stop in Ittehad Town in a van when some terrorists hurled a grenade on their vehicle injuring constables Majeed and Ali Raza.
The policemen opened fire on them and after a gun battle three terrorists were injured and taken into custody while their associates managed to escape.
The injured terrorists were taken to the Civil hospital where they expired. The official said the terrorists were yet to be identified. However, he added, they were probably members of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. They were found in possession of pistols and grenades.
