Tens of thousands of people attended the funerals of the martyrs. They were raising slogans of Labbaik Ya Hussain (AS) and down with the Yazidism.

The grieved mourners also staged a protest rally and chanted slogans against the terrorists and the government for their failure to stop terrorism.

Communication from Parachinar was suspended as neither cell phones nor internet contact could be made. A foreign radio service had disclosed that 20 Shias were martyred and 64 were injured in the attack.
