Sherazi urged govt to take notice of complaints against immigration staff at Taftan border

Shiite News: Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen Pakistan Foreign Affairs Department Officer Dr. Allama Shafqat Hussain Sherazi along with media representatives and senior members of MWM reviewed the dangers of the so-called Namos Sahaba Bill in a special meeting today.

He said that the majority Sunni and Shia Muslims who made Pakistan will never allow a minority group to play with the religion of Islam.

In response to a question, he described mutual unity as the greatest need of the hour. He appealed to everyone not to make any statement or write any such article, which would harm the existing atmosphere of unity.

Expressing regret over the Taftan issue, he said that government officials at the border should avoid harassing pilgrims.

He expressed great regret over the current situation regarding Taftan. He termed the immoral behavior of some bigoted Pakistani immigration officials and offensive conversation and hurting religious sentiments with religious students and university students and pilgrims at Taftan border unacceptable.
