7 Shiite Muslims killed in Quetta in two separate incidents
Five people were shot dead by armed Taliban and Sipah-e-Sahaba terrorists after they opened fire on a car in the Hazar Ganji area near the Sabzi Mandi area. The martyred were identified as Noor Ali son of Mohammad Raza, Ali Baba son of Hasnain Ali, Jawad son of Dost Mohammad, Salman son of Abdul Waheed and Syed Yousuf son of Syed Anwar Ali. All the five people belongs from Hazara Shiite Community of Quetta.
However, The second incident also took place in the Taftan Bus Stand in Quetta and resulted in the killing of two people. The people in the second incident was not identified yet but they belongs from Shiite Community of Quetta.
Security forces cordoned off the area after the incidents and the bodies were shifted to Bolan Medical Complex. The assailants managed to escape from the area. Demonstrators blocked Brewry Road and the Western Bypass area to protest the killings. Hazara tribal leader and Chief of Quetta Solidarity Council, an alliance of all Shia religious and ethnic groups of Quetta, Sardar Saadat has announced seven-day mourning and a shutter-down strike tomorrow. There was no claim of responsibility for the attack.
Gunmen had earlier shot dead a Shia judge along with his driver and police bodyguard on Saryab Road. The Balochistan government had failed to arrest a single terrorists involved in the killing of Shiite Muslims in Balochistan.
