Educational institutions remained closed after Taliban threats in Gilgit

All government and private schools have been closed down in Gilgit for indefinite period because of threats of attacks.
Reports from Gilgit-Baltistan province said on Thursday that the Taliban terrorists have given threats to attack Shia schools in Gilgit. Instead of making a strong policy against terrorists, government and security authorities seem to have bow down to the threats of the terrorists.

Residents of Gilgit have criticized the government and security agencies for their failure to protect the citizens and in particular the educational institutions.
