A Tribune to our Hero – Late Advocate Waqar Naqvi

A revolutionary is a person who either actively participates in, or advocates revolution. Every revolution has an ideology to follow. Shaheed Waqar Hussain Naqvi, lawyer by profession, was a humanitarian seeking justice for the oppressed. Being a muslim, his virtues led him to follow his faith in the footsteps of Imam Hussain. He was not only a revolutionary but a staunch muslim with a vision to liberate humanity off subjugation.

His principles drove and influenced a number of people, resulting in a number of individuals till date following his suite, helping people through not only through affluence but as well morally.
His great work towards illegal inmates in prisions around Sindh esp. Karachi, got him fame leading him to join Tehreek-e-Jafria Pakistan.
Despite serving the TJP he formulated another organization on charitable level, helping those who cannot afford or were not represented in courts.
He was the pioneer, a visionary who brought about the concept of community support through legal aid in a society amidst Zionist establishment. In the advent, he helped a number of shi’ites seeking asylum from the brutalities and atrocities of the Yazidi Regime.
His work has been honored throughout the years yet, should Pakistan have excelled his path we would have seen a better today. He was one man army against terrorism that hovered innocents shia muslims around the country, sending the culprits behind bars and liberating the innocuous.
Being a lawyer, revolting against transgression in society, he was at high stake and regular threats were received by him during his great contribution which the nation remembers him.
Shaheed was assassinated by the proscribed Sipah-e-Sahaba/Lashkar-e-Jhangvi in April 2000, when they ambushed him near Jinnah Medical College at Shaheed-e-Millat Road, Karachi. In the event, his Son, Syed Irsad Mehdi Naqvi and his driver, Iqbal Hussain embraced martyrdom.
We pay our respects to his work and appreciate all his efforts which are not only rewarding in our lifetime / hereafter but the days to come.
