All Parties consensus in Parliament ” No troops for Yemen, for its not our war”

ISLAMABAD: PTI, after Seven Months, joined Parliament in a joint session of the two houses, called to consider Pakistan’s position in the latest Yemen Crisis where Houthis have rebelled against President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, instead the consensus fell upon “Go Imran Go” and a total disaster with no output whatsoever.

The core issue wasn’t discussed for a major part of the session only to be only discussed in the end. The whole of the day was spent defaming and humiliating PTI and its presence in the parliament.
The session started early morning to which National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, later, adjourned the joint session until 5pm as opposition leaders protested the prime minister’s absence from what is dubbed as a critical debate on foreign policy.

Later, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif joined the proceedings as he was engaged with the newly-elected Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena on an official three-day visit to the country on Sunday.

Aitzaz Ahsan (PPP) was blatant to begin with. It was later in the day that Aitzaz addressed the house detaching himself from the argument stating that Harmain, Saudi Government and House of Sauds remain three different entities. Nawaz Sharif has to clarify as who needs protection by Pakistan’s army, for there’s no threat to the integrity of Saudi’s territory or the its Government .

JUI-F’s Maulana Fazl ur Rehman on his turn second Aitzaz and iterated, “Yemen’s war is not sectarian, this view point is incorrect that the war is between Shi’ites or Sunnis.” He found no reason for the army to go beyond borders fighting a proxy war.

“Has United Nations passed any resolution in favor of Yemen? If not, then Saudi’s strikes on Yemen would be considered an incursion,” said Shah Mehmood Qureshi (PTI). Though Imran’s presence was unseen during his speech but he conferred that his word and PTI’s chairmans are unanimous.

MQM and PTI’s perspective was clear that the govt should be haste and stand careful prior considering any short term measures. Pakistan till date is reaping collateral of Afghanistan in the shape of Zarb-e-Azb.

The joint session seemed to have ended with no outcome, yet parties have unanimously shown their concerns over sending their troops over to Yemen aiding Saudi-led coalition. They have not only shown their fears, reservations as well argued some very valid points.
