Philosophy is the treasure of knowledge, Allama Sajid Naqvi

Shiite News: Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, head of the Shia Ulema Council (SUC) Pakistan, has said that philosophy is the treasure of knowledge, and it has played a role in the civilization of societies.

The solution to all problems is hidden within philosophy. He expressed these views while commenting on World Philosophy Day and talking to various academic personalities.

Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi said that if there is a treasure of sciences to understand, test and evaluate the universe, then it is philosophy.

According to the observations of the great philosophers, philosophy has never been like a straight line, but its requirements and angles have changed in every era, however, some points that distinguish philosophy from all sciences are the analysis of the universe, the psychology of living beings, Enhancing human consciousness and awakening consciousness.

He said that philosophy has provided solution to the many conflicting problems of the world.
Philosophy has ruled in the past in the same way as science has ruling with all its energies today.

However, philosophy is called “Umm ul Uloom” because mathematics, physics, chemistry, logic, psychology and other social sciences were born out of it.

The importance and utility of philosophy is still very important today like in every era, there is no doubt that this most important part of knowledge, but despite the progress and speed of science, instead of reducing human problems, problems have been increased.

The solution cannot be extracted from science alone, while for this one has to turn to philosophy. It is knowledge and philosophy that not only changes societies but also gives impetus to intercultural dialogue in the world.

Allama Sajid Naqvi further said that philosophy along with the practice of thinking provides the foundation of a society.

Philosophy moved from Greece to the Arab world, great philosophers were born among Muslims, philosophy was in textbooks in our student era.

Ilm-ul-Qalam was invented for the problems and questions raised by philosophy, Muslim scholars did great work that continues to this day.

Ancient philosophy and modern philosophy are different and information about them is necessary. In this regard, the famous philosopher and scholar Ayatollah Shaheed Sadr’s book “Phalsaphatona” can be useful.
