Deobandi police cop trained in Afghanistan for terrorism in Punjab
A constable who got training in a Deobandi takfiri militants’ camp in Afghanistan before joining Punjab police was taken into custody, Qila Gujjar Singh police said on Monday.
The arrest was revealed around a month after the constable, Naeem Safdar of Faisalabad, was booked under the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA). Headquarters SP Umer Saeed Malik said that the constable had been in the service for the last three to four years and was posted at Qila Gujjar Singh Police Lines.
“After verifying intelligence reports about Constable Naeem Safdar getting Jehadi training in Afghanistan, he was taken into custody on Feb 4,” said the SP.
A case had been registered against Naeem under 21 C, Section 7 of ATA after dismissing him from service.
One should not forget that Deobandi terrorists have tried to bomb Qila Gujjar Singh Police Lines by a blast near the premises. The Wahhabi-allied Deobandis’ trained terrorist police official should also be interrogated about that blast.
