death-orderImplementation on the order of the court for death sentence to three terrorists of banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and banned Sipah-e-Sahaba was deferred by September 30.

The ferocious terrorists Ataullah and Azam Khan had killed Dr M. Raza Pirani in 2001 and the court awarded them death sentence in 2004. After a long judicial and legal process, July 18 was set the date for their hanging.

However, the implementation on the court verdict was postponed on the order of President Asif Zardari by September 30.

Interestingly, Senator Faisal Raza Abidi had been eulogizing President Asif Zardari and criticizing judiciary. He was of the view that the executive has done its job well and caught terrorists but judiciary released them or acquitted them.

But, in case of these three terrorists, the judiciary announced its verdict to hang the terrorists and President Zardari is there to delay the implementation on the order of judiciary. Therefore, it is hypocrisy of the government. The government and people such as Faisal Raza Abidi cannot justify the delay in hanging of the terrorists.
