Shutdown strike, 3-days mourning in Quetta against Hazar Ganji Tragedy
Residents of Quetta, capital city of Balochistan province, mourned Hazar Ganji Tragedy by observing shutter-down strike on Friday.
Quetta City wore desert look because of closure of shops and markets. Vehicular traffic remained thin. Hazara Democratic Party had given call for the strike.
A rocket attack or a suicidal attack was made on a bus carrying around 40 to 50 pilgrims (Zaireen). Resultantly, at least 13 Zaireen were martyred. They were returning from pilgrimage in Iran. The tragic attack occurred at Hazar Ganji area.
Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen has announced three days’ mourning as a token of condolence over the loss of 13 Shia Hazara Muslims.
Mir Zubair Mehmood, the CCPO Quetta, said that a police mobile was escorting the bus of Zaireen. It is reported that bus plunged into a ditch after suicidal or rocket attack. Then, it caught fire. Volunteers shifted the bodies and the injured to hospitals.
Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri said that Balochistan province had become a den of U.S.-sponsored terrorists. He said that terrorists are not friends of Islam and Pakistan.
Sardar Tariq Ahmed Jafri, president TNFJ Balochistan chapter, has demanded that security of the entry and exit points of Quetta city and route of Zaireen should be handed over to Pakistan Army.
