Iran and Pakistan vow to enhance cooperation in energy sector

Shiite News: Two Islamic Brother countries Iran and Pakistan vowed to enhance cooperation in energy sector for each other.

According to media reports, Iranian Ambassador, Syed Muhammad Ali Hosseini met with Pakistan’s Energy Minister Hammad Azhar on Tuesday in Islamabad.

In this meeting, representatives of both countries expressed their wishes to foster bilateral ties between Tehran and Islamabad as well as extend their cooperation in energy sector for each other.

On this occasion, Iranian Ambassador also discussed Pak-Iran trade and economic affairs in the light of current global and regional changes, with Pakistani Minister. He also emphasized to implement pacts between two countries which were made during the last visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan of Iran. He said that cooperation in energy sector especially electricity were inevitable between two neighboring countries.

Pakistan’s minister for energy Hammad Azhar also expressed his wish that his country had firm determination to promote cooperation with Iran in energy sector in the light of bilateral treaties.
