Talks of Shia leaders with PM fails, protest sit-in being staged
A sit-in is being staged to protest the genocide of Shia Muslims after talks of Quetta Yakjehti Council’s central leader Sa’adat Ali Hazara with Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani failed.
Sa’adat Ali Hazara, chief of Hazara tribe and central leader of the QYC met Prime Minister Gillani in Quetta where he was conducting a visit.
Reports had it that Prime Minister hadn’t given assurances to meet legitimate demands of the QYC leader therefore talks failed.
Sa’adat Ali Hazara conveyed the grievances of Shia Muslims of Balochistan province and of Quetta in particular. He drew his attention to the fact that genocide of Shia Muslims and in particular Hazara Shias continued unabated but government has taken no action against the terrorists involved in the targeted killings of Shia Muslims.
Six innocent citizens including four Shia Muslims were killed on Sunday despite the fact that Prime Minister had started his Quetta visit on Sunday.
Talks failure led the QYC to announce protest sit-in on Monday. The sit-in is being staged and thousands of people are attending in.
