Today,5 years have passed to the assassination of Martyr Amjad Sabri

Renowned Sana Khawan-e-Ahl-e-Bayt and Qawwal son of Ghulam Farid Sabri, he reappeared in a new form after death of his father and started his regular recitation with the same word “Tajdar Haram”, which in the past brought his father and uncle to great heights of Qawwali.

Shiite News: The 5th anniversary of the martyrdom of the famous Qawwal and Sana Khan Ahl-e-Bayt Amjad Sabri is being celebrated today. According to the details, Amjad Sabri, who opened his eyes in 1976 in the famous Qawwal family of Karachi and inherited Qawwali and Hub-e-Muhammad wa Aal-e-Muhammad (PBUT) in his blood.

He received his early training in Qawwali from his father Ghulam Farid Sabri and elder brother Azmat Sabri. After technical education and training, Amjad Sabri demonstrated his skills in the field of poetry in a way that is rarely seen. Amjad Sabri has performed in more than 17 countries including India, Nepal, USA and London.

After the death of his father Ghulam Farid Sabri, Amjad reappeared in a new form and he started his regular recitation with the same word “Tajdar Haram”, which in the past brought his father and uncle to great heights of Qawwali.

He was shot dead by terrorists on June 22, 2016, at some distance from his home in Liaquatabad, as he was leaving home to attend a private TV show for Ramadan Transmission.

As a result of this murderous attack, Amjad Sabri was severely injured and succumbed to death. Martyr Amjad Sabri was a lover of Ahl-e-Bayt(A.S). He also offered innumerable prayers in the honor of Imam Hussain and was well received so many awards at home and abroad. The history of the art of Qawwali would be incomplete without paying tribute the services of Amjad Sabri.
