Imran Khan’s blunt answer to American Journalist, “Absolutely Not”

Shiite News: Prime Minister Imran Khan has categorically refused to give US bases in Pakistan for military operation in Afghanistan. Imran Khan said this in an interview with Jhonathan Swan, anchor of the American TV HBO program Axios. Anchor asked if he would allow the US government to carry out counter-terrorism operations against al-Qaeda, ISIS and the Taliban across the border from Pakistan through the CIA.
In response to this question, Prime Minister Imran Khan categorically refused that, “Absolutely not”. He further said that by no means, Pakistan will not give the a single Military Base to United States for any kind of operation in Afghanistan from its soil.” This blunt response of Imran Khan to the American anchor on social media has gone viral while his detail interview will be broadcast on Monday at 3 am PST on American TV Channel HBO.
According to other sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Pakistan will not give bases to the United States under any cost and circumstances. In an interview to foreign TV, Prime Minister Imran Khan made it clear that Pakistan would not allow the United States to use its airports under any condition. He added that it was not possible for Pakistan to allow the CIA or US Special Forces to carry out any operation in Afghanistan from Pakistani soil.

It may be recalled that a few days ago, Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry had rejected the news regarding existence of US Air Base in Pakistan as baseless propaganda and said that there is no truth in such allegations. There is no US base in Pakistan. Whether the proposal was under consideration or not, speculations about the US base in Pakistan are baseless.

A communique issued by the Foreign Office said that such statements should be avoided. Pakistan and the United States have had an airline of communication framework (ALOC) since 2001, as well as the Ground Lines of Communication (GLOC) is an operation. Except said 2 pacts, Pakistan has not signed any new agreement with the United States.
