Raids to arrest Mufti Aziz-ur-Rehman, close associate of Maulana Fazlur Rehman

Shiite News: Police raided the township to arrest Mufti Aziz-ur-Rehman, the central leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam and a close associate of Maulana Fazlur Rehman, involved in the incident of abusing of a madrassa student in Lahore, but he did not found.

According to police, a raid was carried out in the township madrassa to arrest the accused Mufti Aziz-ur-Rehman but the accused along with his sons had fled. The police further said that the accused used to stay in this madrassa and raids are being carried out at various places to arrest him.

It should be noted that the video of the alleged abuse of a student by a teacher in a madrassa went viral on the internet 2 days ago. Mufti Aziz-ur-Rehman, accused of allegedly abusing a madrassa student, also made a statement in which he said that the video was two and a half years old and student Sabir Shah had been used against him.

Mufti Aziz-ur-Rehman said, “I swear I did not do any such act in my consciousness. I was given something intoxicating. I was not conscious.” Mufti Aziz-ur-Rehman has claimed that the main character of the case is Sabir Shah’s escape.
