Imam Khomeini called the opinion of the nation the scale and standard while the elected parliament is the essence of the virtues and perfections of the nation, Allama Maqsood Domki

Shiite News: Allama Maqsood Ali Domki, Central Spokesman of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan, said that the Islamic government established by the Supreme Leader Imam Khomeini in the light of Qur’an and Sunnah is based on the principles of the Islamic Republic. Because public opinion is important in the formation of Islamic system of government, Imam Khomeini called the opinion of the nation the measure and standard, while the people’s elected parliament is the essence of the nation’s virtues and perfections.

He said that the door of Ijtihad was open in Islam which demanded the formation of a system of government in the light of Islamic principles in line with the requirements of the times. Imam Khomeini performed a great deed by transforming the system of wilayah and imamat into the system of wilayat-e-faqih and the Islamic Republic in the age of occultation. The holding of 42 elections in the 42-year history of Iran’s Islamic Revolution is the best proof of its democracy. It is surprising to the United Nations that even during the eight-year war, whether it was the presidential election or the election of the Parliament, the National Assembly or the Council of Experts or the local government elections, there was never a day’s delay, which is really an honor of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He said that the Islamic Republic of Iran is superior to Western democracies where the standard of choice of rulers is their high character while Western democracy is a mirage which has given humanity anti-human systems like US, UK and Israel. Obama came in the form of low nature and killer human beings like Trump and Netanyahu.

He said that the Muslim Ummah has to come out of the mirage of Western democracy and move towards an Islamic democratic system in line with the requirements of modern times in the light of Qur’an and Sunnah.
