Target killing of Shia community in Punjab and fourth schedule is a link in the same conspiracy, Allama Sabzwari

Shiite news: A meeting of the cabinet and divisional presidents of Shia Ulema Council North Punjab was held in the camp office under the chairmanship of provincial president Allama Syed Sabteen Haider Sabzwari. The meeting reviewed cases against terrorism, sectarianism, Fourth Schedule of mourners and expressed concern that lawlessness and unrest were on the rise in Punjab province.

Allama Sabzwari said that the incidents of martyrdom of muezzins and worshipers inside a Masjid in Jaranwala and Bahawalnagar were not accidental. He expressed concern as to make the land of Pakistan narrow for the Shia community. He added that both the statement of the mischievous Maulvi, a supporter of the international terrorist group, and the martyrdom of the worshipers were a moment of reflection for the rulers and a challenge for the state institutions.

“We demand that law enforcement agencies curb the incidence of terrorism, otherwise the people, frustrated by the poor performance of the agencies, will take matters into their own hands, which will make difficult to maintain law and order in the country,” he said. The meeting of the Council of Shia Ulema passed five different resolutions urging the Muslim Ummah to play a joint responsible role in resolving the long-standing issues of Palestine and Kashmir. Concern was expressed at the meeting that instead of curbing terrorism and sectarianism, government and non-government machinery was being used to curb the mourners of the martyrs.

He further said that under a conspiracy, FIRs were being registered in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan against mourners and mourning processions under various pretexts, this is being happen to intimidate the mourners. On the other hand the use of Fourth Schedule against Shia citizens would become the norm of police and administration.

It was clarified in the meeting that the incidents of martyrdom of worshipers in Masajid are a cowardly act by the miscreants. The Jaffaria commninty not afraid of anyone, they know how to defend themselves. It was clarified in the meeting that from last Muharram till now the Fourth Schedule and cases are being used against mourners, so that people are scared but despite state repression against mourning of Imam Ali (AS), it has performed and will never end. The administration is advised to refrain from cowardly acts. Husseini mourners are not afraid of anyone. They consider it a blessing to continue mourning even after making sacrifices, so state machinery should not waste their time and resources.

The meeting was attended by Maulana Jafar Abbas Naqvi, Syed Sajid Hussain Naqvi, Maulana Abrar Naqvi, Maulana Ghulam Qasim Jafari, Dr. Mumtaz Hussain, Hadi Hamdani, Farzand Ali Chachhar, Azhar Shah, Syed Imran Haider, Guddu Shah, Qasim Ali Qasmi, Aqeel Shah and others.
