Body of a Shia cop of Pakistan Army unearthed in Gyari sector (Siachen)

shaheed muhammed armyBody of a Shia jawan of Pakistan Army namely Mohammad Hussain was unearthed in Gyari sector of Siachen front. He was laid to rest on Sunday.
As many as 124 army personnel were buried alive due to an avalanche in Gyari, on April 7, 2012. Pakistan Army and some foreign teams of experts had launched efforts to unearth the bodies of the injured. Majority of the victims are believed to be Shia Muslim personnel of the army.

Mohammad Hussain belonged to Satak Chen village in Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan province. His body was shifted to Gomal Hospital and then his namaz-e-janaza was also held at CMH. He was recruited in the military some three years ago.

Search and rescue operation for the recovery of more personnel was in progress. Reports had it that two more bodies were unearthed.
