Anjuman Al Zulfiqar founder SM Naqi joins Pakistan Peoples Party

Anjuman Al Zulfiqar founder SM Naqi joins Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) along with his family and friends.

He formally made this announcement during a press conference alongside PPP leaders Saeed Ghani, Waqar Mehdi and Shehla Raza.

Eminent PPP’s local bigwig Sohail Abedi also accompanied them.

While addressing the press conference at his house, S.M. Naqi said that he always respected PPP as a good political party.

But he could not formally join the party due to some issues.

S.M. Naqi further said he would try his level best to serve Karachiites from the platform of the PPP, the party of martyrs.

Meanwhile, Saeed Ghani welcomed S.M. Naqi and those of his family members and friends who joined the PPP.

Moreover, he asked Karachiites to join the PPP in the larger interest of the city.

According to observers, S.M. Naqvi had remained a frequent visitor of Nine Zero in the past. Due to that, people considered him a sympathizer of MQM.

But his press conference and formally joining the PPP brushed aside that impression.

S.M. Naqi is known as a leading figure of Shia Muslim community in Karachi. He founded azadari (mourning) Anjuman al Zulfiqar.
