Sunni and Shia Muslims celebrate birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi (AS) with religious fervor.

Among them, millions of Pakistanis and Iranians also included.

The presence of Sunni Muslims in the celebrations of the anniversary of Hazrat Mahdi’s birthday, also known as Shab-e-Barat in Pakistan, remains one of the special features of these celebrations.

Those living in the country have celebrated the auspicious occasion of birth anniversary of the 12th Shiite Imam Mahdi (AS).

Notably, they commemorated Imam Mahdi on Monday night in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.

Moreover, they largely participated in celebrations in other cities, including Karachi, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi and Quetta.

Meanwhile, an outdoor event held at the residential complex of the Iranian embassy at the diplomatic enclave with all health protocols.

Deputy Head of Mission Mohammad Sorkhabi, diplomats, officials of Iranian organizations in Pakistan and their family members attended the celebrations.

On the occasion, Iranian students recited different poetic verses about Imam-e-Zamana (AS).

The celebrations also included competition among the students and prizes for them.

Hundreds of Pakistanis who love Imam-e-Zamana (AS), both Shiites and Sunnis, took part in celebrations tonight at Imam Bargahs in Islamabad as well as in Rawalpindi city.

On this night, Pakistani Shia Muslims wrote letters with love and affection to Imam-e-Zamana (AS) during the night of 15th Shaban.

They call this letter Areeza (requests).
