Allama Raja Nasir demands release of Sheikh Salman

Majlis-e-Wehdatul Muslimeen (MWM) Secretary General Allama Raja Nasir Abbas condemned the arrest of Bahraini leading political party Al-Wefaq leader Sheikh Salman and called on the Bahraini regime to release Sheikh Salman forthwith.

The leading Pakistani Shiite Religio-Political Party leader Allama Raja Nasir in his statement criticized the United States and Britain support to Bahrain Monarchy atrocities against people and political opponents of the Bahrain regime.

He urged the Bahrain regime to release Sheikh Salman forthwith and accept the people sentiments against them.

Bahraini forces on Sunday arrested Sheikh Salman who leads Bahrain’s main opposition bloc, al-Wefaq National Islamic Society. Manama announced Tuesday that the cleric was remanded in custody for a week pending further questioning.
