Takfiri Taliban drug-peddler and land-grabber killed in Karachi shootout

A drug-peddler and a land-grabber belonging to outlawed takfiri terrorist outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were killed during an encounter with the Karachi police.

Two takfiri militants including a drug-peddler and land-grabber were killed during an encounter with the police in Orangi Town. Police said that the encounter took place when the police on a tip-off conducted a raid at the hideout of the takfiri terrorists at Raheem Shah Colony within the limits of Mominabad police station of Orangi Town. Police said that the takfiris resorted to indiscriminate fire at the police and tried to escape, however, in retaliation, the police also fired back.

After an exchange fire, two takfiri terrorists were killed. Police recovered two hand grenades and weapons from their possession. Their bodies were taken to morgue for identification and medico-legal formalities at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. They were later identified as Qasim and Rehmat.

SHO Shahzad Ilyas said Qasim was a notorious drug peddler-cum-terrorist and financer of banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan-Swat and wanted in more than 20 cases of murders and narcotics. Rehmat was the accomplice of Qasim. He was a land-grabber and was involved in numerous killings.
