Majlis e Wahdat e Muslimeen to be registered with Election Commission soon: Allama Shaheedi

ameensahediiAllama Amin Shaheedi, deputy secretary general, Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM), has disclosed that MWM will be registered with Election Commission of Pakistan very soon.
“Pakistan needs an honest and patriot leadership and we shall bring that qualified leadership,” he said while talking to a delegation of religious scholars.

He said that public meeting in Karachi has proved the mass support the MWM is enjoying nowadays. He said MWM would turn into a political force.

Allama Shaheedi said that Pakistan was suffering from diseases and was not being cured well. He said that Pakistan was facing with multiple problems. He said that apart from religious and non-religious terrorism, foreign meddling into Pakistan’s internal affairs are major threats to be thwarted. He said that separatist outfits were being patronized and they too pose serious threats to the security and integrity of Pakistan.

He said that state organs/institutions are badly affected by the menace of corruption. He said people were fed up with the corrupt institutions. He said Pakistan needs national solidarity.

“Pakistan needs a just system that is capable of bringing just, true and sincere competent leadership,” he said.

He further said that religion was defamed because religious groups and leaders were hijacked in many cases. He said that (intelligence) agencies had been behind many movements in the past and religious leaders and their parties were used in those movements. However, now country needs an ideological movement.

He said that Pakistan is a great country and Pakistanis want to live with their Pakistani identity in peace and sanity. He said Pakistan is rich with resources and unfortunately the resources were not utilized correctly to benefit Pakistanis.

“Government knows it well who are behind the terrorism and riots in Gilgit-Baltistan but government was not taking action against the terrorists,” he said. Allama Shaheedi said that people of Gilgit-Baltistan were oppressed and they need justice to be done to benefit them.
