MWM condemns PMLN for attacking on peaceful protestors in Faisalabad
Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Sindh chapter’s secretary general Allama Mukhtar Imami has condemned the PMLN’s government for attacks on peaceful protestors in Faisalabad on Monday.
“Peaceful protest by political workers poses no threat to democracy. Government should behave. Rulers should act upon democratic values and in particular Islamic democracy’s principles,” he urged while speaking to the party officials at Wahdat House.
He said that Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif had introduced a new trend of hooliganism in the politics and their “Gullu Butts” are attacking the peaceful political opponents of the PMLN’s governments at the Centre and in Punjab province.
“Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf has offered an olive branch and ball is now in the court of Nawaz Sharif. We advise Prime Minister to respond positively and end the crisis by accepting legitimate demands of vote-recounting,” he exhorted.
Allama Imami said that Pakistan deserves better governance and the PMLN government should not terrorize political opponents by undue use of state machinery and hooligans such as Gullu Butt. He expressed condolence on the reported death of a protestor in Faisalabad.
