Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen held a successful power show in Skardu where it rallied tens of thousands of supporters for electoral contestant Kazim Maisam (Skardu-2).

Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, secretary general of the MWM Pakistan addressed the election rally, where supporters accorded him warm welcome.

Gilgit Baltistan is bracing for voting in the general election of GB Assembly on Sunday, Nov.14.

As many as 330 candidates including four women are contesting the general elections in 23 constituencies of GB Assembly.

MWM fields 3 candidates to contest Gilgit Baltistan election 2020 because Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) is supporting PTI’s contestants under electoral adjustments on other constituencies.

Allama Raja Nasir-led MWM has fielded Dr Mushtaq Hussain Hakeemi from GBLA-10 Rawand 4 constituency.

MWM has fielded 3 candidates to contest Gilgit Baltistan election 2020.

It has nominated Kazim Maisam for electoral contest from GBLA-8 Skardu, while MWM named Haji Rizwan Ali as contestant from GBLA-5 Nagar 2.

On the other hand, MWM claims credit for Prime Minister Imran’s announcement to grant Gilgit Baltistan provincial status.

Imran Khan made announcement, while addressing the attendees and participants of the Azadi Parade held to mark the 73rd Independence Day of Gilgit Baltistan.

He congratulated people of GB on the PTI government’s decision to give GB provincial status.
