Tahaffuz Namoos e Risalat rally held under the aegis of MWM in Multan to mark celebrations on birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (BUH).
Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen hold Milad rally on Eid Miladul Nabi (birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (BUH) every year.
Tahaffuz Namoos e Risalat rally held
However, this year, they named event as Tahaffuz-e-Namoos-e-Risalat rally.
Allama Iqtidar Naqvi, Allama Qazi Nadir Alvi, Allama Ghulam Mustaf Ansari, Allama Waseem Abbas Masoomi and Allama Mujahid Abbas Gardezi led the rally. Other Shia scholars also accompanied them.
Tehreek Minhajul Quran’s leaders Rao Mohammad Arif and Muttahida Milad Council leader Zahid Bilal Qureshi also participated in the MWM’s Milad rally.
While addressing the rally, they condemned French President Emanuel Macron over his support to caricatures that aimed at insulting Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
They also condemned Charlie Hebdo for reprinting the sacrilegious and insulting caricatures.
At the end of the rally, they burnt the effigy of President Macron to vent their anger.
Milad participants vowed zero tolerance against such insulting acts and Islamophobia.
They made clear that French government must not hoodwink people on the pretext of freedom of expression. They said West denies freedom of expression to those who question Holocaust’s facts.
Hence they rejected insult of Islam, Prophet of Islam and Muslims on empty pretexts.
