He expressed happiness to visit there for a second time to celebrate this day with GB People.
Furthermore, the PM also congratulated people of GB on the PTI government’s decision to give GB provincial status.
Imran Khan said the government of Pakistan made this decision, while keeping in view the UN Security Council (UNSC) resolutions.
Notably, Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) had formed electoral alliance with PTI on the condition regarding Constitutional status to Gilgit Baltistan.
Hence, MWM supporters call it their success and vindication of their stance.
Meanwhile, he paid tributes to GB scouts and those shohada (martyrs) who gave sacrifices and freed this region.
He said he could not speak in detail about a development package because of the upcoming elections.
But he assured the people that his government would prioritize helping the poor and people from underdeveloped areas.
The PM also spoke on current political situation. He said that the fact that the opposition was criticizing the chiefs of Pakistan Army and Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) proved that he had appointed the right people to the posts.
